The Reconnection Guide

4 practical tools to structure your next visit with your kids. Free.

Maybe you planned the whole visit and still felt the distance. Maybe you drove home from the drop-off in silence, radio off, wondering what you're doing wrong. If that's you, this guide is for you.

    Four tools. One visit.

    01 The Pregame

A light frame before you even walk in — one meal you'll make together, one activity with two options, one block of time left open and reserved for them.

    02 First Hour Protocol

Give them a minute to land before you hand them a plan. Then build the rest of the visit together, out loud.

    03 The Presence Check

One breath, one honest question: are you actually here right now, or just managing how it looks?

    04 The Handoff

End the visit, and the hour after it, on purpose instead of letting logistics take over.

    Who this is for

Single and divorced dads who aren't in crisis — you're functional, you show up, you handle the logistics. But the house is quieter than you expected, the week has no shape between visits, and you know something needs to change even if you can't name exactly what yet.

    From someone who's lived it

I'm Jason. Fifteen years as a single dad, and a Health & Wellness Coach through Mayo Clinic's Wellness Coach Training. Everything in this guide came out of visits that didn't go the way I planned — and out of figuring out, the hard way, what actually closes the distance when it opens up.
